I began my photographic career free-lancing for local newspapers. In 1978 I was appointed photographer to Mayor of Boston Kevin White where I followed him to meetings, conferences, award dinners, and receptions with visiting dignitaries to Boston. I also photographed portraits of distinctive leaders in Boston.
1981 saw the launch of my woman owned business. I was a photographer for the Kennedy Library in Boston which holds The Joey Libby Photography Collection of visiting US Presidents, celebrities and noteworthy people. Among those I have photographed include Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, both Presidents Bush, President Clinton, Caroline Kennedy, Christian Amanpour, Keith Lockhart, Van Cliburn, Alec Baldwin and Joan Rivers.
I photograph conferences including The Annual World Energy Conference, The World Technology Conference, The International Leadership Conference, the Massachusetts Medical Device Industry and The International Boston Seafood Show-the largest regional trade show event, trade shows, conventions, and public relations events at Boston’s leading venues.
